Dr Kate Warren Receives Research Grant from the Australian Institute of Art History
Friday 5 February 2021

Dr Kate Warren, Lecturer of Art History and Curatorship, recently received a 2020 research grant from the Australian Institute of Art History (in partnership with the Art Association of Australia and New Zealand). In their inaugural offering these grants support new and innovative art historical research. Dr Warren was awarded in the category of Emerging Art Historians for her project Histories of Arts Coverage in the Australian Popular Media, which charts how the visual arts and art history have been communicated and presented to Australian publics through popular press and media.

Dr Warren will use the grant to fund research in key Australian cultural institutions, including the ABC Archive and the National Film and Sound Archive.
